Love your story Xinran, when you shared about your baby and the word is vulnerability. That's very heartwarming.
I also looked at your website on dreams. You drew that? There's no way to leave comments there so I'm writing here. Those are amazing! I like drawing buildings too, I just like drawing things though no where as precise as yours.
Thank you very much, Moon! Yes, I did draw them on my laptop. It took me a lot of time. I'm surprised you like drawing buildings tooβdid you publish your drawings somewhere?
Hi there! Congrats to yours too! You just got a new follower :) By saying monetization streams, are you referring to the newsletter? I honestly don't have a strategy for that yetβI'm still following my curiosity and focusing on how to "consistently" provide "more value".
Sorry I shouldβve been more specific. Recently you posted that you made your first $10K online. Congrats! Just wondering if that was related in anyway to the newsletter :)
And yes, I think my writing in English gets better over time as an unplanned side product. Still miss the fluidity and subtlety of writing in Chinese, I might at one point write other topics in Chinese first and ask AI to turn them into English :)
And yes, treating publishing as tossing stones takes some pressure off. If it doesnβt land well, I know thereβs another one ready to be tossed.
Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for reading, Evelyn!
Love the story!
Thanks, Anfernee! Would love to read your story if you've posted it somewhere!

I draw by hand and I didn't learn any technique. Just took pictures I like and draw by copying what I see. Mostly for fun and not for publishing lol.
Thanks for sharing this, also on the verge of 1k myself this was a really insightful read. Do you have any insights on monetization streams ?

Oh that actually happened several months ago and I was surprised to discover it recently. Not really, only a super tiny bit came from this newsletter.
Loved reading your backstory. Congrats on 1K, and thanks for sharing your platform!
Thanks, Mike! It's amazing to discover your work and know you too. Speaking of the serendipity of writing online.
Congrats! Iβm looking forward to seeing where you steer this ship!
Thanks Steve π!
Congratulations on reaching 1k subscribers. That's incredible. I don't know how you managed that while being a parent to two kids.
I totally agree with you that it's difficult writing English in when it's your second language but it does get better with time.
"The only thing I can control is to keep tossing stones into the water, one at a time." This is what I'm trying to do as well.
Thanks Yuezhong! This means a lot.

Congratulations, your work is fantastic!
Thank you, Meng! It seems that youβre also working hard to build and ship new things.
